Trying to Unredeem Minecraft windows 10 code from Microsoft account.

I've recently gotten a new computer which comes with windows 10 and wanted to finally see what windows 10 version of minecraft was like.

I remembered I had a redemption code for owning Java edition when windows 10 version had come out but when I went to redeem the code it said it has already been redeemed to a completely different account.

I do have access to this account but it's a very very old account of mine and I never use it... I actually forgot it existed until I tried to redeem my code. but the thing is that I have NO IDEA how the redemption code got connected to this account? I never had windows 10 before this and have no memory of ever redeeming it, why would I if i never had windows 10? why redeem a game that I wouldn't have access to?

I've been trying to contact the support team with the closest ticket I can get to my issue, which is the "request new code" (I get to that option after clicking the "code has been redeemed error" option) I've tried to explain in the ticket section that I would like to send the code to a different account but they don't seem to be reading that section and just close my ticket replying with "we can't fulfill your request as this code is connected to a different account"

the whole reason I tried to contact support is because of a similar question of unredeeming a code on here in which a staff member had said to contact the support team.

I'd really rather not be forced to just buy the game when I know I have a perfectly good code sitting there. And the reason I'm so stuck on transferring the code to this account is because this is the account I'm using for all my console versions of minecraft, if I'm able to get my bought items from my switch version on my computer, that'd be great...

I'm kind of unsure how else to get help with this as I'm not sure what ticket I could possibly send to get the help I'm looking for...

If anyone knows of the best way to get help on this issue it'd be much appreciated.

Have you tried signing into the Store app with the MS Account that has the game to see if the game comes up?

If so you're entitled to share apps and games from a MS Account to members of your family, so you can try that using the account which has the game linked to it following this guide as it's worked for others:

Will sharing the app to my current MS account make it so I still get my items from this account? I've got a skin pack and a minecraft map that I bought on switch version of minecraft that I'm wanting to carry over to windows 10 version (if those do carry over).

I also just never use that other MS account and would rather not have the hassle of going between two accounts just for minecraft...

I did not suggest to go back and forth. The way the blog suggests to do it would install it from the other account while temporarily signed into the store from that account. Then sign out and back in with your account to play the game. You'll have to see if it works, what it bases family on.

I doubt you can keep skins you bought on a completely different platform.

Look, I would really just rather NOT deal with that old account ever. I had plannned to delete it as I have very personal reasons for no longer using that account anymore and no longer wanting it up. I'd rather not have the stress of having to keep it around when I'd rather it be gone. I don't want all these run around steps from what I really want which is that code unredeemed from that account so I can just redeem it to this one instead.

I'd rather just someone say "it's not possible for us to unredeem a code from an account" instead of telling me to jump through all these hoops which leave me with an unsatisfactory result.

So, is there an easier way to contact support or a way that I can request that code get unredeemed from that account or am I stuck having to buy the game on this one?

thank you for trying your best to help with a different solution, but I'd really just get answers to my original question of if there's an easier way to contact support about this or not. the whole reason I asked about unredeeming the code is because I don't want to deal with that account at all anymore.

Minecrafts support saying they can't help me with Windows 10 editions, they say that I have to contact microsoft for that which I already have as said in my original post. I'm just going to guess I'm pretty much just unable to get this fixed, at least in this point in time...
