Microsoft Solitaire Collection Events Crashing

Microsoft Solitaire Collection Events Crashing starting today 2/4/18. Events are crashing during loading. I have found no issues playing regular games, daily challenges, or star collection games.

I have tried all the suggestions in Loriane Mon post of June 19, 2017

Ran troubleshooter - told me user control was turned off. Turned on and rebooted computer.

Reset windows cache.

Restarted computer from the General Tab of msconfig.

Uninstalled Microsoft Solitaire Collection and then reinstalled. Rebooted computer.

On reboot, computer went through two cycles of updates.

Still the same issue. About 4 seconds after clicking on EVENT, "Loading" freezes. 4 seconds later, Solitaire Collection closes.

Application log shows error below on latest attempt:

Answer

Hi,

A corrupted data may cause your game not to work properly.

Let us try to re-register Windows Store by running the following commands on command prompt:

1. Press Windows key + X.

2. Click on Command Prompt (Admin).

3. In the command prompt, enter the following command:

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}

4. Reboot your computer.

Let us know how it turns out.
