I lost my Character when I reinstalled Minecraft Dungeons (PC)

I play on PC and lost my character in Minecraft Dungeons just by reinstalling the game !! (I needed to reinstall due to an error).

How do the developer make such a badly finished system? !! this is indadmissible. putting local save and the file be deleted just by reinstalling the game !!

Even on platforms like Nintendo Switch the game has cloud save. I lost dozens of hours of gameplay due to a developer error! several other games in the

Windows Store already have cloud save, I just can't understand this decision to save location and STILL DELETE SAVE FOR ANYTHING.

Minecraft Dungeons never again.

In the publication he posted for Known Bugs, there is a link there to Report a Bug which I'd use to report this annoying problem. It should not happen.

There are also FAQ's, Troubleshooting Steps and access to a Blog post by the developer.

I will try to send them as a "bug" in the link that you indicated to me.


In addition to not putting cloud save for computers, this makes it impossible for anyone to even change computers and stay with your own save, as well as uninstalling for some reason and reinstalling it.


I doubt that my problem will be solved, they made the save local and already deleted it by reinstalling the game. The way is to be quiet after reporting the problem.

If you don't want to be quiet, I'd file the bug report. You can also post it in the Feedback Hub in Start menu where developers say they want to hear from us.

I do see gradually the complaints of losing game history after Updates, Version Updates or game Reset or Reinstall starting to diminish. I think they are improving this but it's gradual. So let's keep the feedback and bug reports coming so they don't let up.

Sorry but they (Mojang I suppose) are not resolving this, unless they switch to cloud save, every time the game is reinstalled from the computer (for wanting or for some problem), the save will be lost.

I can't understand how a studio that is part of Microsoft opted for local save. Understand, this means that you can never continue your save.

They need to change the system to Cloud Save, as many other games from the Windows Store already have (like Astroneer and etc.).

This is the link about the problem, as you can see, the game was barely launched and already has hundreds of users who lost their characters, dozens of hours of gameplay, due to a save local that is excluded if you reinstall the game or has an error.

Yes, very clear. I think you've done all you can. Let's hope the word gets through to them. It's ridiculous that you should lose your game data with a local save.

Have you tried saving your data in the cloud? Is that possible? Does it work?

Have you tried saving your data in the cloud? Is that possible? Does it work?

No we can't "copy and paste" the files of our "save game" to the cloud, or anything to rescue it.

Whoever plays on the PC at one time or another will lose the save and everything they did in the game, either by game error, changing computers, formatting the machine itself, reinstalling, etc,

We have several games in the Windows Store that have Cloud Save, I don't know why the hell they decided to make such a mistake... =( sad

Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue where my character in Minecraft Dungeons has lost its data.

I had been grinding my character experience and items from level 77 to 87 and now it's gone back to its original level, losing all my precious items and time spent.

If someone can help, I will explain my problem further.
