Windows DVD Player - playback fault

I've recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8 Pro (64 bit), but my pc will no longer play dvds.  The Windows DVD player starts to play but the picture is heavily pixalated and jerky to the point its unwatchable.  Help!

Hi Gavin,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand your concern and I am glad to assist you.

What is the make and model of your computer?

This issue could be because of display drivers. I would suggest you to download and install the video display drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if it helps.

For information, you may refer the following Microsoft help article on Getting the Windows DVD Player app by Vidyaranjan A V.
