Installation of Oculus Software Errors

Hi there,

FIrstly used to have oculus installed on my machine but I formatted all my drives as a clean up and upon re-installing everything I am now running into an error when installing Oculus setup. I realise this may not be a windows problem, but the oculus people don't have many answers for me.

The following lines are from the last part of the oculus setup log file, when the error occurs.

Why is access to that particular file denied, surely it shouldn't be, as I am running the set up as an administrator on windows.

Any help on how to fix this would be super awesome....

Hi John,

Based on the details provided, it is possible that the issue was due to the software residuals that caused the installation process to fail or for the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform a disk cleanup to clean or delete all the junk files and the installation residuals of the application. And then, install the application or software again.

If the issue persists, access safe mode and locate this exact file location "C:\Users\salis\AppData\Local\Temp\OculusSetup-b04ead59-65c5-4478-bfe5-9c30529d27c9" and delete "OculusSetup-b04ead59-65c5-4478-bfe5-9c30529d27c9 folder" manually.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards.
