Error code 0x80070003 when trying to update apps from Windows 10 Store

For about the last week I have been unable to open a number of apps on my Surface Pro 3. OneNote and Calendar are two notable examples.  When I try to open the apps, the window for them opens up for a few seconds, but quickly closes before completely opening.

I have tried to update the apps through the app store hoping that this would solve the issue, however this has presented its own issues.  While the update is able to download, when it tries to install it comes up saying "try that again" and giving me the error code 0x80070003.

I am hoping that there is somebody who can help me to solve my issues as I would love to be able to use OneNote again without having to do a factory reset.  Thank you in advance!

I am having the exact same error code in my windows store, tried methods posted above, but they didn't help

method 1: no issues found

method 2: no updates found, you device is up to date

method 3: windows update components must be repaired - fixed

issue still exists however.

UPDATE:

I think I may have made things worse,,

I ran the command 'dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup' and now when I try and update the store apps it gives error code 0x80246017

This is maddening. Every solution for every problem involves running troubleshooter. I can't run troubleshooter. It errors out. Can't ever run it.

sounds like you have a more serious problem, like maybe OS corruption. what happens when you run these three commands (in order)?

chkdsk /scan /perf

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow
