Windows 10 thinks I'm in a different country.

I have two Microsoft Surface Pro tablets, and recently both seem to think I'm in Copenhagen, Denmark, when I'm actually in California. Specifically it's the Microsoft Apps (Edge, Weather, and Maps) that believe I'm in Denmark. For example, Bing Maps in Edge incorrectly says Denmark, but Bing Maps in Firefox correctly says California.  This seems to have started after the most recent update, so I'm thinking that this is something that Microsoft needs to address on their end.  Other than waiting for a fix, is there something I can do?

Hi Janice you are right there are many bugs in the current Windows updates. I would report the bug to Microsoft via this website

Hi,

In order to diagnose and troubleshoot the issue, I would suggest you try the following steps and check if they are helpful.

You may check if the region is correct. Refer to the following steps.

1- Type "Region" on the Start screen. Click "Settings" and press ENTER.

2- On the "Format" tab, select "English

3- Click "Languages Preferences" > "Add a language" and add "your language".

4- Once added, select it and click "Move Up" to make it the first language. Close the Language window.

5- On the "Region" window, click "Additional Settings" and check if the values are same.

6- Click the "Location" tab and change the Home Location to "your country" and then click OK.

Hope this information is helpful.

The location of "Region and Language" is not where you specify on my version of Windows (Windows 10 Pro, Version 1803, Build 17134.81). More importantly, the country was already set to United States under "Region and Language".

After reading the link I toggled on "Set time zone automatically". The result was my time going from the correct time (Pacific time) to UTC +1:00 (Brussels, Copenhagen, Madrid, Paris), which is incorrect. However, it highlights that there is an issue with how the Windows system is determining my location after the update.  I now need to manually set the time back to Pacific after turning off the auto time zone.  Somehow the GPS on two different devices (a Surface 2 Pro and a Surface 3 Pro) is not getting my correct location after the last big update. Everything was fine before this update.
