Windows 10 mail app error - Error Code: 0X8007000e

Hi!

My mail app stopped working. I dont know what happened.

When I open I see almost blank screen, the icons appears on mouse hover, but no email, no accounts.

I tried to reinstall the app, no help. Now I cannot add an email account. Few seconds later the closing itself. If I click on my live account to add I get this error code:

Error Code: 0X8007000e

I also try to fix this with run the troubleshooter for Windows apps, no result, cannot find the error.

Please help me to fix this!

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

 

Method 1: I suggest you to perform System File Checker (SFC) scan.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Method 2: I would also suggest you to run the System update readiness command. It detects incorrect manifests, cabinets or registry data, it may replace the incorrect data with corrected version available. Follow the steps.

  1. Press Windows key + X.
  2. Click command prompt (Run as administrator).
  3. In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press Enter key after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type Exit, and then press Enter

 

If the issue still persist I suggest you to create a new user account and check if it helps.
