Mendeley Web Importer doesnot work for Edge

I use the bibliographical software Mendeley a lot (https://www.mendeley.com/) which has a plugin that works seamlessly with Windows 7 and its plugin integrated well with Mozilla and IE.

With the upgrade to Windows 10: (1) I found that it was difficult to install the software in Windows 10 as I got an error message saying that the security certificate was not authenticated, which I overrode and installed the software. (2) Secondly Edge browser - which promises to be a great browser for research allowing you to highlight content on webpages, make notes etc. - does not allow me to install the Mendeley plugin. Is there a way to incorporate the same in the browser?

I have found a workaround for this. Drag the webimporter onto the  mozilla firefox  favourites bar, remember not the plugin but the link as you do for IE. Once you have done this import favourites from firefox to the edge and then drag and drop the imported  mendeley favourite to edge favourite bar and then you should be able to use it without any problems.

Works great! Just to clarify: you open Firefox, load the webpage for the Mendeley web importer, then select the Internet Explorer section. Then, drag and drop the "Save to Mendeley" button into your Firefox bookmarks bar. Then when you re-open Edge, you can import favorites from Firefox, dragging and dropping the "Save to Mendeley" button from the "imported from Firefox" section to the "Favorites Bar" section. Brilliant!

Edge now supports plugins and extensions, is there any chance Mendeley will be added any time soon?

Thank you
