How to recover Microsoft Edge if it fails to launch
In some cases, Edge appears to launch but then quickly disappears immediately afterwards.Once Edge gets in this condition, there is no way to launch Edge successfully, whether trying from the Taskbar, the Start Menu or a link from another app.

8. When the command completes,
Restart your PC (Start > Power > Restart).
Edge should launch again after your PC restarts, and your favorites and other synced settings should return after a while.
An invalid registry setting could prevent an Edge window from launching as expected. These steps should help with this issue.
Search for “regedit” using Cortana, then launch
Registry Editor from the results
Navigate to the following folder: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\Main
Right-click the LastClosedHeight key, then click
Delete any information in Value data:, then click
Close Registry Editor
If Edge doesn’t launch on a Toshiba device and the “Toshiba Display utility” is installed, uninstalling it and then restarting your PC may help.
Search for "Control Panel" using Cortana, then launch
Control Panel from the results
Under Programs, navigate to Uninstall a program
Uninstall the Toshiba Display utility
Restart your PC (Start > Power >
If Comodo antivirus is installed on your device, make sure it is updated to version 10.0.1.6294 or higher. This will be available for CIS 10 users on August 29, 2017, and for users with older versions by September 5, 2017.

Open Comodo Antivirus using the desktop shortcut or through the start menu
Click the Question mark '?' in the bottom-right corner of the interface then select 'About'
The version number is shown in the 'About' interface
