embedded links when using MS Edge browser do not work correctly

When clicking on an embedded link on a page when using Edge, the action usually just opens up another tab of the same page the link appeared on. For example, I click on a link in an email, I get a second browser tab of Yahoo mail. I click again, I get a third mail tab.

I tried the same links in Firefox and they all work correctly.

Is there a fix for this?
