"You're not up to date" but no update button

What's up with this? Windows has been telling me I'm missing "important" stuff for a while but no matter how many times I check for updates I can't get the option to install anything. With the striking yellow text and the big red exclamation mark you'd think these are pretty urgent updates, but windows refuses to give me a way to install them. Come to think of it windows hasn't pestered me about updates for a while now. It's gone from trying to install updates like twice a day to now not giving me any.

Any actual way to fix this? Can't I just download the updates online from a browser? I'm sick of having to update and download microsoft related stuff through their own apps that just don't work.

Good Day CallumMcIvor25,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here are the steps you can try.

-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Settings
-Click Update and Security
-Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.
-Look for Windows Update and run the troubleshooter.

Once done , go to this link and download the tool to reset the Windows Update Components.

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/24742-reset...

After following those steps, restart your computer and try to check and install updates.

-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Settings
-Click Update and Security
-Check for Updates and install all updates available.

If the issue persists, you can perform Repair Upgrade , , it will repair and replace damaged system files. This will also update your computer to the latest version of Windows.

Step 1: Download the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Click "Download Tool Now"

Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.
Step 3: Select "Upgrade this computer now".
Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and applications".
Step 5: Let it install

Hope the above information helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

Sincerely,
Carlo T.

Thank you for helping! But sadly im stil getting issues. I did the first thing and nothing happened. The program ran its course and it reset but nothing happned. I then tried the second method but then I got this message.

However after the second method i was actually able to check for updates, but instead of alowing me to intall it still, I now have this message

Any ideas? I see that its saying "other updates are in progress" but what updates? How can i see them? Is there a way to see the progress of these updates?

Thank you for any help you can give!
