Hello Debbie -

In Windows 11, the XPS Document Writer is hidden and doesn't always show up when you click on add optional features. This should work:

1. Window+R

2. Type “optionalfeatures”

3. Find Microsoft XPS Document Writer

4. Check Microsoft XPS Document Writer

5. Hit OK, let Windows run

You should now have the XPS Document Writer show as a printer.

Do the same thing for the XPS Document Viewer.

Where is the XPS Document Viewer? I am still having issues whenever I open Quickbooks and open Adobe i get error message and cant change any pages of the PDF. I followed the steps and go Microsoft XPS Document Writer... I just cant find XPS Document Viewer.

I am using Windows 11 and Quickbooks 2023 Desktop. This is a new computer with windows 11 on it.

In Windows 11, the XPS Document Writer AND Viewer are hidden and don't always show up when you click on add optional features. I posted the XPS writer info above and may not have been clear enough when I said "Do the same thing for the XPS Document Viewer." Here's the instructions on installing the XPS viewer:

1. Window+R

2. Type “optionalfeatures”

3. Find Microsoft XPS Document Viewer

4. Check Microsoft XPS Document Viewer

5. Hit OK, let Windows run

You should now have the XPS Document Viewer.
