Xbox one controller not recognized

I have 2 Xbox one controllers. I want to use them both wired. One of them works flawlessly but the other simply vibrates once connected, but doesn't connect. Here are some details about the situation

I have windows 11 pro

I've tired both of them with 1 wire and only the perfect one connects while the other doesn't

I've tried all usb ports

The faulty Controller does not show up in device manager at all and device manager doesn't even refresh when its connected

Both controllers do not work with my Bluetooth (I've tried using wireless)

Ive taken it to a shop who tried connecting it to another Xbox (They didnt understand too much) but said there was nothing wrong with the wireless and I should just get a bluetooth dongle

Any fixes I could try?

Hi,
I am Tanvi, and I would be happy to assist you today!
The fact that one controller works flawlessly with different wires and ports suggests an issue with the problematic controller itself, not your system.

Hard Reset the Controller-

1. Turn off the controller entirely by holding the Xbox button for 6 seconds.
2. Unplug any wires and remove the batteries.
3. Wait for 30 seconds, then put the batteries back in or reconnect the wire.
4. Try turning the controller on again.

Even though you've tried the same cable with both controllers, use a different known working cable to connect the non-functional controller.

Even though the working controller uses a driver, sometimes reinstalling it can resolve conflicts.

1. Press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager.
2. Expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and right-click on any entries related to Xbox controllers.
3. Select "Uninstall device" and check the box to "Delete the driver software for this device" (if available).
4. Restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers when you reconnect the controller

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you have any other queries.
Good day
