Wrong location for weather on lock screen

I have the Windows 10 lock screen set to show weather. Instead of showing the weather at my location it shows weather for Washington, DC. I have my location set to my home address.

This does not resolve the issue. I'm on the West Coast and my Weather displayed on my Lock Screen also says Washington DC. When I open the Weather app to try and update my location it says I'm not connected to the internet. This is not true. What is going on?

I have the same issue. My location is set correctly, but the weather on the lock screen is for Washington D.C. Rebooting does not help either.

Yes everything is set correctly. I live in Pennsylvania so I am in the same time zone as Washington, DC. I am not sure what that has to do with the lock screen showing weather for the wrong city.

I cannot find any place to set anything but what app shows up on the lock screen. If the lock screen showed the wrong time this answer would apply. The correct time is shown.

I just resolved the issue of the lock screen showing the weather for Washington D.C., even though that's not where I live.  Open the Weather app.  If it's the first time, it will give the option to detect your location or use the default location you've set.  If the location has not been set in the app, it will show Washington D.C.

Hope that helps.

This worked!  Thank you so much!  I just opened the default weather app and set it to allow my current location.  Now it gives me the correct weather for my city!

How funny is it that the MSFT rep wan't able to resolve what should have been quite a simple issue for a company rep. Instead, he gave somewhat of a canned response probably from a script. Thumbs up to customer service.

Absolutely. Expecting actually helpful answers in this kind of situation is unrealistic..

Dude, you are missing a key piece of info....EVERYBODY is saying they are set to Washington DC....think maybe you should find out if that is hard coded in the registry or something like that before you assume we are all idiots and don't have our computers set up?!
