====== What Happened ==========
One day when I loaded my 16 Gigabyte microSDHC card, I attempted to format it. There are 5 gigabytes left.
It returned a "Disk is write-protected" error:
====== What I have Tried =========
I have tried Disk Partitioning (failed, even though it says it was successful. ?!), CHKDSK (failed), and Disk Mangement (failed). Something interesting happened though... I got an "I/O device error" when deleting the disk partition:
======== What I Suspect May Have But Might Have Not Caused This Issue =======
I previously used this microSD card with a Nintendo Switch until when I attempted to load a game it reported that the files were corrupted. I assume that the disk being write-protected was what had happened- nothing could be written to or removed from the drive.
