Hi frkry,

Welcome to Microsoft Answers!

First, I would suggest you to turn off the firewall as it could interfere with proper communications between the client and the server.

Method 1: Windows Firewall is on by default in this version of Windows. To make sure it hasn't been turned off, follow these steps:

1.    Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall, and then click Windows Firewall.

2.    In the left pane, click Turn Windows Firewall on or off.  If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3.    Below each network location type, click Turn off Windows Firewall, and then click OK. We recommend that you turn on the firewall for all network location types.

Method 2:

To add the Protocol, you may follow these steps:

  1. Click on Start-> Control Panel-> Network and Sharing Center->Manage network connections.
  2. Right-click your LAN connection and select Properties.
  3. Click Install..., select Protocol and click Add...
The NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS protocol may be listed on the Network Protocol list.
  4. Click Have Disk... Browse to C:\Temp. Select netnwlnk.inf. Click OK.
  5. Select NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS from the list. Click Install.

Note : Restart computer for the changes to take effect.

Once the NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS is installed, check if the issue persists.
