Hello, RicardoMiranda8
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I have carefully read the information and problem description you provided. You mentioned that you have a problem with the sound adjustment.
I understand that this problem is causing you trouble. According to your problem description, this problem may be caused by multiple factors, including hardware problems with the keyboard, audio driver problems, system software conflicts, or problems with certain control software (such as the volume control software provided by the manufacturer). You have checked the driver and malware, which is a good start, but further diagnosis and troubleshooting are required. I suggest that you try the following methods for further troubleshooting, which may help you.
Method 1. Please check and reset the volume-related software
Open "Control Panel" → "Programs and Features", find any volume control or manufacturer-related software, and try to uninstall them to see if the problem is solved.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Go to the "Startup" tab, disable all non-essential startup items, and then restart the computer (you can re-enable them one by one later to determine which one caused the problem).
Method 2. Update and reinstall the audio driver
Open Device Manager → Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
Right-click your audio device (such as Realtek, Intel, AMD, etc.) and select Uninstall device.
Confirm the removal of the driver, then restart the computer to let Windows reinstall the default driver.
You can also download the latest audio driver from the official website of the device manufacturer (such as Realtek) or laptop manufacturer (such as HP, Dell) and install it.
Method 3. Your current problem may be caused by some third-party software interference. Therefore, I recommend that you perform a clean boot to rule out third-party software interference. Please follow the guide in the following link.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support
Disclaimer: A clean boot starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether background services are interfering with your game or program and isolate the cause of the problem.
After performing a clean boot, please test again to see if your problem still occurs.
Method 4. If you have tried the above methods and the problem still persists, please create a new local account and test if the problem still persists.
Press Win + S to open the search bar.
Type cmd, then right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
Type the following command in the Command Prompt and press Enter:
net user username password /add
For example, to create a local account named newuser with a password of password123, you would use the following command:
net user newuser password123 /add
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas filled with joy and warmth!
Best regards
