I set up Windows 11 pro with two user accounts - one "work or school" account and one "personal" account. It worked fine for months buts now when I start up the PC and get to the initial login page only the personal account appears - the "work or school" account does not appear on the login page. The personal account works fine and when I go into Settings>Accounts>Email & Accounts it lists both accounts. It appears the "work or school" account is either disabled or hidden. Please advise as to how I can recover it.

Work/school account and personal account are from two separate domain (Azure domain and local domain), so by default, they are not showing on the log in screen together.
You just need to use the switch user option to log in with the work/school account.

When i turn on my pc it has ALWAYS taken me to a screen that shows BOTH of my user accounts so I can select either account and then enter my password to log-in. So I don't understand your statement "by default, they are not showing on the log in screen together." Could we be talking about different things?? In any case, when I try to use the Switch User option my "work or school" account does not appear so I cannot access it in this manner. But I believe my "work or school" account has not been deleted because it is listed under Settings>Accounts>Email & Accounts.
Thanks in advance for further advice or assistance.

In order for both a work/school and personal account to show up together on a lock screen/sign in screen, it requires group policy change. By default, the work/school account is not shown there.
After you click on switch user, in the username field, you need to enter your work/school email, then the password. It should let you log in.
Once you log in, you can use switch user to get back to your personal accont, then launch Group Policy Editor, go to Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options. Make sure the following two are set to diabled:
Interactive logon: Don’t display last signed-in
Interactive logon: Don’t display username at sign-in
Then go here: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon
Make sure the following two are also disabled:
Block user from showing account details on sign-in
Do not enumerate connected users on domain-joined computer

Thanks for your prompt response. When I am signed into my personal User Account named Bucky Brown and then click on my User Account name the screen below pops up. When I click on the three dots at the upper right there is an option to Switch User. But when I click on Switch User it takes me to the login screen below where my personal user account (Bucky Brown) is shown but my so-called work User Account (Buckner Brown with the email address of *** Email address is removed for privacy ***) does not appear - see screen shot below - so I cannot log into my Buckner Brown user account because it's not listed anywhere. But both accounts appear under Settings>Accounts>Email & accounts - see below.
So the bottom line is when I click on switch user (as you suggest) I do not get a username field where I could add my work/school email as you suggest (unless of course I'm doing it wrong in which case more guidance would be much appreciated).

when I click on switch user it takes me to the screen (see photo above) where two user account - "Bucky Brown" and "Other user" are listed (and if I selected either such user account it would ask me for a PIN or password before giving me access). What it doesn't show is the user account that i use for work with the email address that ends in @moodycapital.com. I don't see any badge ID icon.

see screen shot below. How do I change the device management settings? I'm not my company's administrator but either i could get the admin credentials from him or I could try to explain to him what needs to be done if you could explain to me. Many many thanks.

I don't know how it got changed without knowing your usage history, but you need to click here, disconnect it.
Then restart the computer, come back to this page, click on Connect.
Don't sign into your work email yet. Instead, click on "Join this device to Microsoft Entra ID". On the next step, you will be prompted to sign in, then you can sign in.
Once done, restart the computer and you can use "switch user" to sign in using the company email.
