Windows Update Not Loading

Hello,

I have this problem with my Windows Update and I have had it for some time now. Windows Update will not load no matter how long I leave it to load for. I have tried a lot of things but nothing has fixed it. I have tried restarting Windows Update in services and also disabling my antivirus software. Please help me fix this issue.

Hi,

Please try this:

System File Corruption Scan

  1. Open Command Prompt (Admin)

    1. Type cmd into the start bar

    2. Right click on it and select Run as administrator

  2. Type:
    sfc /scannow

  3. Let it run

  4. Restart your device

  5. Try again

If that didn't work:

Windows Upgrade

1)      Download this tool:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

2)      Once downloaded, run it.
You should see this:

3)      When asked to accept licence terms, read the terms then if you agree, click accept

Image

4)      When asked what you want to do, select Upgrade this PC now

Image

5)      Let the process download windows 10, this will take some time

Image

6)      Once that is done, it will verify the update automatically, then it will move onto checking updates automatically:

7)      When it is completed, save any work, and ensure your data is backed up in case anything goes wrong.

8)      Check the options are correct and select Install.

9)      Let windows 10 download and once windows has loaded again, you are good to go!

Cheers!

Yes, all data will stay if you ensure you see this:

It says keep all files and apps.

I would recommend to have a backup, just in case something goes wrong

Hello RaymondTsan1,

Thank you for updating me with that information. I apologize that this did not resolve the issue.

Click 'Update Now' at the link below to download the Windows 10 Update Assistant.
Using the Update Assistant to upgrade your Windows version will not delete your files and apps.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Run the Windows10Upgrade9252.exe
Click Update Now and wait for the process to complete

Note: It is always a good practice to backup your important files first before performing any Windows upgrades or reinstallations.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.
