Windows Update help? Error 0x80242006 after downgrade and reupdate.

Hi!

I had updated to version 1803 after it first came available using the windows 10 update assistant. I had some issues but nothing deal-breaking: Search lo longer returned individual settings nor control panel applets. My first real problem with the build was when I tried to install a program with the windows store. i clicked "Get" and instantly the page reloaded, nothing happened. I had an app that I really wanted to install from the store. (A graphing calculator app that I need to finish my coursework)

This was thoroughly annoying. I tried to check for updates to see if I needed to update. I got my check for updates returning normal. After some research online, I decided to run the Windows store apps troubleshooter (didn't find anything) and the windows update troubleshooter, which returned a slough of errors such as new updates, corrupt database and others I forgot to write down. I tried to fix it and it still didn't work. I then ran SFC /scannow, which found nothing, then Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth , which completed successfully. Since this was an issue I didn't have last build, I used the recovery feature to downgrade. I tried to use windows store again, and it didn't work, but windows update chimed up saying I had a synaptics mouse driver ready to be updated. I updated that, thinking my troubles were over, checked again for the 1803 build. (I reasoned that maybe it wasn't ready for my computer, so i would check.) I get the notification that it was available, so I click install. I get this: "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 - Error 0x80242006". I re-ran SFC and DISM, and they returned the same things back.

What should I do?

Windows 10 Home

Version: 1709

OS Build: 16299.371

PC Type: Toshiba Satellite Radius P55W-C5314

Error Codes: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 - Error 0x80242006

For the Store issue, here is the workaround for 1803:
Open Store app.
Click Your profile picture at top right.
Sign out of the store.
Sign in back again.

Personally, what I suggest is to wait for sometime and let 1803 mature and then upgrade after a month or a two.

If I understand correctly, after rolling back to Windows 10 version 1709, you are trying to again update to version 1803? If Windows Update and the update assistant do not help, you can try updating to version 1803, also known as the April 2018 Update, using the Media Creation Tool. Be sure to have a backup of your PC before continuing.

Go to this page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Click "Download tool now" then run the application. On the "What do you want to do?" page, select "Upgrade this PC now," and then select "Next." When Windows 10 is ready to install, select "Change what to keep" to set whether you would like to "Keep personal files and apps," or "Keep personal files only," or choose to keep "Nothing." Be sure to have a backup of your personal data, settings, and applications, especially if you choose to "Keep personal files only" or choose to keep "Nothing."

Let me know if you have any questions or if that does not help, there are more steps you can try.
