Windows update error 0x8007001F - 0x3000D

I tired to update Windows 11 and it wailed. I red about it and decided to run an In-place upgrade in Windows 11, downloaded the ISO, mounted, etc ..... and it did not work. The error message I got was

We couldn't install Windows 11

We've set your PC back the way it was right before you started Installing Windows 11.

0x8007001F - 0x3000D

The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation.

I read on "answers.microsoft.com" - there was one answer regarding the same error code topic. Long story short I checked my register and my profiles directory I belive is correctly set to %SystemDrive%\Users. So you have a start there.

Thanks for your help!

Dear Aleksandar Aleksov!

Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Thank you for your detailed information. I understand that Windows Update errors can be very frustrating. Based on what you've described, I have a suggestion that may help us better diagnose the problem:

Use the SetupDiag tool provided by Microsoft to analyze the specific reasons why the upgrade failed. This tool can read the logs generated during the Windows 11 upgrade process and help us more accurately determine the cause of the error.

SetupDiag | Microsoft Learn

Using the SetupDiag tool can help us get more specific information about why the upgrade failed. With this information, we can more accurately diagnose the problem and provide targeted solutions. And make sure you have tried the upgrade at least once before running the SetupDiag tool, as this will generate relevant log files for the tool to analyze.

If you encounter any problems when using the SetupDiag tool, or need help interpreting the log content, please feel free to let me know. I will be happy to further assist you in resolving this Windows Update issue.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Merry Christmas in advance~
