Windows Update download error, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - USB - 1.0.0.11 Download error - 0x80248014

Hello,

Windows update is having issues downloading an update.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - USB - 1.0.0.11

Download error - 0x80248014

Let me know if I need to include something else.

Update1: Now i am able to download but I get an install error:

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - USB - 1.0.0.11

Install error - 0x80070103

update2: this was posted elsewhere and I'm just reposting

AMD PPM Provisioning File Driver 1.0.0.11.

It is an integral part of the older chipset driver. Always update manually from the amd site. Sometimes windows update knows to screw up drivers for amd system.

This is the latest chipset driver:

Note: It is always recommended to download and install drivers from the manufacturer's Support page. If you're not experiencing any hardware issues, there's no need to install this driver update.

Please try using the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the driver updates. Window Update won’t install hidden drivers or updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try hiding the Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - USB update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.

Same problem here. It's been going on for a good few days now.

It's happening only on my Thinkpad P16s gen 2 AMD (with a 7840U) and not my other systems.

Restarting the system etc has not helped in my case.

Running into this issue with my ThinkPad T14 Gen4 using AutoPatch. Install error - 0x80070103 when trying to install Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - USB - 1.0.0.11.

System Manufacturer LENOVO

System Model 21K30008US

System Type x64-based PC

System SKU LENOVO_MT_21K3_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPad T14 Gen 4

Today, after another windows update, I now not only have the previous "Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - USB - 1.0.0.11" error but a *new* one, too:

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - System - 1.0.0.10

Install error - 0x80070103

Is anyone from Microsoft reading this?

Same thing here. Clean install Windows 11 Pro 23H2 on a P14s Gen 4 AMD.

Why is Lenovo or Microsoft not fixing this???

Same issue here with both updates mentioned. ThinkPad P14s GEN4 AMD. Hopefully they come up with a fix soon.
