windows touch calibration issue

I'm truing to calibrate the touch screen of my Linx 10v64 tablet running Windows 10 because it's off

 (you have no idea how long it's taking me to write this message due to the wrong calibration). problem is, the last two crosshairs I cannot seem to touch/calibrate. Hence i cannot solve the problem. the other 6 crosshairs work fine.

We understand where you are coming from. A not-calibrated Touchscreen must be so unpleasant. We hope we can help at best.

- First, please ensure that the entire screen is not damage, and it's clean - free of stains.


Windows 10 has a built-in program that will help you calibrate your tablet touchscreen. To get there, go to Start menu search > Type "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input". Click on Calibrate... button and go on with the on-screen instruction that will guide you through the process. 

If you cant find it, please ensure that you're on Tablet mode:

Select action center on the taskbar (next to the date and time), and then select Tablet mode to turn it on or off.

Hello, that's where I have the problem with the crosshair. When you go through that process, you get a white screen with crosshairs to tap on each corner of the tablet. I can do 6 of them without problem but the last two, at the very bottom of the screen, do not respond to my tap

When the crosshair appears at the bottom of the screen, are you able to completely see them in the screen? We're thinking that the screen resolution does not exactly fit on your device.

Upon trying to find a few info about your device, we found out that you have a 10.1 inch screen, and the best Resolution for this is 1280x800 pixels.

--->You can set it under Settings > System > Display > Resolution: Change it to 1280x800 pixels


Another info is while you're in Tablet mode, it should automatically turn on the screen rotation feature. While performing the calibration, try to rotate your tablet 180° and check if you will be able to touch the crosshair at the bottom. 

If this works, we would expect that the crosshairs that will at the top will not respond.

This is to determine an area of the Touchscreen is not working. After determining it, you will need to contact your device maker support team for them to advise you what to do next.

Hello, 

thank you for replying quickly. The resolution is set as you indicated and i have tried the rotating screen as I thought about an area of the screen not working) and it still didn't work (the crosshair at the bottom). Also, if I touch that area of the screen normally (not while calibrating) it works fine. 

The calibration seems to be "slightly" off especially noticeable when typing on the touch keyboard. It seems that the response to the touch is higher that the actual touch, for example, if i touch the G it will type the T, etc. 

Please help, this is driving me insane

I apologize about the long delay. Here is the next method that you can try:

Enlarging the screen occupancy of the On-screen Keyboard:

When you're using the On-screen Keyboard for Windows 10, there's the Settings button on its upper left corner. Click on that button, and follow the steps in this image:




You should be able to have a larger On-screen keyboard in this type of settings.

We're now suspecting the driver installed for your Touchscreen device. Please follow these  two methods and see if any of them will work:

Disable and enable the touchscreen driver
Note: You'll need a keyboard or mouse connected to your device.

  1. Go to Device Manager by searching it using Cortana.
  2. Select the arrow to the left of Human Interface Devices to unfold it.
  3. Right-click HID-compliant touch screen, and then select Disable.
  4. Right-click HID-compliant touch screen, and then select Enable.
    Note: There may be more than one HID-compliant touch screen listed. If so, complete steps 3-4 for each one.
  5. Restart the PC if prompted in each device driver.

If disabling and re-enabling the driver did not work, try to Reset touchscreen calibration: Go to the Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input screen, and press Reset button.
