Windows Subsystem for android has no internet access even though I am connected to the internet.

Hey guys,

The amazon appstore and the whole subsystem isn't connected to the internet even though I clearly am. Whenever I open the Appstore or when I launch the subsystem in general, a notification pops up that says "VirtWifi has no internet access (Tap for options)" and when I click on it, it does not do anything. Please help!

Specs: i7-10870H, 32GB RAM, RTX 3070, 1TB SSD (HP Omen 15)

Winver: Windows 11 (OS Build 22000.376) I joined the Windows Insider Beta programme

Insider Builds can have bugs like this - the reason why the same is in testing.

Have you tried a Network Reset?

I tried performing a network reset and after a few minutes, my laptop restarted. But the issue still persists unfortunately.

Yeah, think you need to wait for a fix. Sometimes that's all to do.

Unfortunately, then you would have to wait for Microsoft to fix this. You may try uninstalling 3rd party antivirus if you have installed it.

Fair enough, it’s worth the wait. P.S I use Windows defender and do no have any third party antivirus softwares.

I have found a solution..

Just go to installed apps in w11 and click on windows subsystem for android and choose repair..

Mine was blocked by windows firewall, the virtwifi adapter gets placed into the "guest or public networks" and DNS queries against the relay running on windows were being blocked.
