Windows stuck in preparing automatic repair

HELP NEEDED

So I have a gaming laptop, the OS to be exact is Windows 11. It is always stuck in preparing automatic repair, shutting down and powering it on does not help. I want answers on how to solve this since I have data and games on my laptop and it’s just malfunctioning like this.

Are you able to access the recovery environment using these steps.

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

If you are unable to access the recovery environment using those steps, then you will need to create a bootable Windows 11 USB on another working PC and boot your PC from that, then rather than installing Windows 11, select ‘Repair this Computer’ that will give you access to the Recovery Environment from there

In the Recovery Environment on the USB, try each available option.

to download the Media Creation Tool to create the bootable USB.

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created (change Boot Order in your BIOS)

I can get into the recovery environment but I tried Startup Settings, System Restore and Reset your PC, and I tried the Choose an operating system option since I have dualboot, also Startup Settings, but they don’t work.

And if I need to create a USB to reinstall Windows, how to recover my data? Since it will remove everything.

When you boot from the USB, you should have access to the recovery environment on the USB by selecting the 'Repair this Computer' option, try each available option on the USB.

If none of those options work for you, in the Recovery Environment on your PC, do you have access to Command Prompt?

Open Command Prompt, then type notepad.exe and press Enter.

Notepad should open.

Select File - Open.

You should then be able to use the Open File dialog like a small File Explorer window to drag your files out onto a USB drive to create a safe backup of your files.

You can only use that method to backup your files, most games cannot be backed up, the only exception to that rule would be Steam Games.

I am almost done backing up my files and everything. Most games are on steam which I can backup and some games I can just reinstall and set up back.

May I ask if I can still save/rescue my dualboot and not delete it or that is impossible?

What sort of dual boot have you set up on your system, is that two versions of Windows?
