Hi Thomas, this is a very common issue, please provide a screenshot of that actual popup dialog you are seeing, so I can provide a solution for you . ..

How to provide a screenshot on Community:

Click your Start Button, type snip and hit Enter - this will open the Snipping Tool

Set Mode to Full Screen, then click New to take a screenshot

Save that file to your Desktop and close the Snipping Tool

Then in your next Post, click the second last button on the toolbar above your post to select that image and upload it to your post . . ..

Hi Thomas, that is the remnants of malware that has been removed from your system by Defender or your chosen Anti-virus package

First please try this:

Run a scan with the free version of MalwareBytes to see if it can remove this error message . . .

https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Then restart your PC and see if that is now gone, you can also Uninstall MalwareBytes

If that is not gone:

The solution is to basically recreate that file and put an exit script into it

Open Windows File Explorer

On the View Ribbon, temporarily turn on 'Hidden Items'

Navigate to this folder:

C:\Users\tjr\AppData\Roaming\61925C00-4C07-81E1-29C9-E840F2EEBE44

Right click in that folder and choose New - Text Document

Put this text in that file:

Wscript.Quit

Then click File - Save As

At the bottom of the save as dialog, set save as type to *.*

Save the files as rm4.vbs

Note you must enter the vbs file extension yourself

Restart your PC

Looks like a virus. I recommend the following 2 things:

Scan using Malwarebytes:
https://www.malwarebytes.com/
Perform a Windows Defender Offline Scan:

Always include PC Specs, Make and Model of the device. Ensure all the latest quality updates have been installed. It may take multiple replies to reach a satisfactory answer.

Try running these programs:
MBAM free: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/
Eset online scanner: http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/
Adwcleaner: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

If these do not fully remove the virus/malware then it will be wise to register with a malware removal site to receive dedicated malware removal instructions, an expert will remain with you throughout the process until confirmation that your PC is 100% clean.
