Windows Recovery, OEM partition from past Windows Insider

so here the thing, i had my daily windows 10 installed on Disk 0 (SSD) (C: OS 10), and i installed more windows on the same device (dual boot) on Disk 1 (Harddisk) and become insider ( i shrink and create new partition from E: SAFE partition ), after long use, i decide to remove the new windows ( insider one ), by removing boot of the new windows on System Configurtion and removing the main windows 10 partition that i create by shrink the E: partition. then i want to remove the unknown partition ( i dont know the partition is from my daily windows or from my insider windows and i forget the 2 unknown partition is already exist before i install new windows or not) (red circle and blue circle on the picture), i need you guys help, are the 2 partition is needed for my daily windows or  if that from my new windows ( insider ) can i delete it? and how? Thanks

Sorry for my bad english😁

Hi YD. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Please post a screenshot of Disk Management, which I read like a doctor reads X-rays. Follow the steps here so I can see everything needed to advise you: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/foru...

There are sometimes new Recovery partitions created for the bootable repair tools with a new Version Update, but you need to be sure which is the new one before deleting the old one or you could end up with no bootable tools onboard and need to use the booted media or Repair media for repairs when Windows won't start.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Hi again-

The two OEM partitions at the end of DISK1 are abandoned factory tools and Recovery partitions after the hard drive had it's System and Windows partitions deleted and recreated into Data partitions D & E. They are no longer used or usable except to mount Factory Recovery to run Manually since it obviously won't run from Windows which is no longer on the drive, nor can it be booted since the partition table was overwritten.

To remove them you can try deleting in Disk management. If they won't delete then their are EISA which is removed following these steps or a bootable partition manager: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/02/29/delete...
https://techjourney.net/delete-and-remove-prote...

Then you can repartition the space for more data storage, Extend E into the space using Disk Management, or extend either D or E or both into the space using this tool to Extend any partition whether it's adjacent or not: http://partitionwizard.com/video-help/extend_pa...

Be aware that the proper way to reformat a Windows hard drive for data storage is to move the data off and wipe it first of all bootable code using as at least Diskpart Clean Command, then reformat it in Disk Mgmt. This prevents old bootable code from interfering:

https://www.pcworld.com/article/248980/how-to-p...

Hope this helps.

Thankyou for the solution, but before i do remove the partition, is better i just wipe off all the partition in the Disk 1 (backup my data first), or just remove the 2 partition (OEM) ? I m asking again because i have a huge data, and to backup i dont have any external disk, i sorry for asking a lot, i just wanna making sure it safe to do :)

If you don't' have space to back up then try just deleting the two unneeded partitions first and extend the others or create a new partition as I explained above.

If you ever have any further problems then you can back up your files and properly wipe the drive first with Clean command and reformat it as also shown. I just wanted you to know that is the absolute correct way to do it, but I doubt you'll have any problems as they are rare.

Any type of boot problems like a delayed startup that can be caused by the bootable code being left on the drive from the old Windows install. But it is rare.
