Windows not responding to clicks

Hello,

I have a latest version of Windows 10 in my PC. Before some days everything was working perfectly fine.

now, when I start the laptop it stops responding to the clicks. Sometimes Only taskbar works and sometimes taskbar doesn't work either.

Also may times everything works fine for some time but them it stops responding.

I have performed clean boot, Used DISM method but it doesn't work.

I thought it was happening because windows is not updated so i updated Windows. But that didn't made any difference.

Please help me as soon as possible I have my every work on laptop.

Thank you.

1. Press the Windows key, type in CMD right-click and click on "Run as an administrator".
2. Copy-paste: sfc /scannow
3. Press Enter. Wait until it completes.
4. Copy-paste: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Option 4. Do a repair install of Windows 10 with an in-place upgrade.

Summary

If your Windows 10 installation is demonstrating unusual behavior such as built-in apps not working or launching, you can perform a repair upgrade to fix the problem. A repair upgrade is a process of installing Windows 10 over the existing installation of Windows 10 on your hard disk, using Windows 10 installation media. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while preserving your personal files, settings, and installed applications.

Hey Joseph,

I use Touchpad of my laptop for navigation and it is perfect working condition. Thats why your first and second suggestions do not apply.

As I have mentioned in my question i have already used the DISM command with scannow. On your suggestion i performed it again.

It shows - restore operation completed successfully.

And about last suggestion to upgrade the installation of windows cant be done because I dont have ethernet connection.

Can you suggest anything else?

Hi Nikita_185,

Restore from a system restore point.

This option takes your PC back to an earlier point in time, called a system restore point. Restore points are generated when you install a new app or driver, and when you create a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.
