Windows media player crashes, nvd3dum.dll file error

Hello everyone,

 

I have my sony vaio windows 7x64 Nvidia Geforce 330m laptop which is giving me nvd3.dll errors whilst playing through windows media player 12 and corel windvd bd.

I get the error along with the following:

I had the same problem with my Vaio VPCF117HG that I recently bought from my friend. It also has the GT330M GPU.

I had the 280.26 driver installed and it wasn't playing ball.

When I put a BluRay in, it would Launch WinDVD BD and then try to read the disk and crash:

I tried reinstalling it with antivirus off, with no audio drivers or 3D vision support, but nothing helped.

I downloaded version 275.33 which was the next WQHL down the list.
It had the same problem.

I then Downloaded the next one which was 270.61.
This one works perfectly.
