Windows Media Player 12

In our environment, one of the engineers wrote a power shell script which removed media player (and other features) when an image was deployed to our computers.  This image was deployed to a couple hundred computers.  We have now redone our image to allow Media Player on the new computers being imaged --- however, we really don't want to reimage 200 computers in order to get Media Player back on them.  I have tried extracting Media player from the ISO but it won't install -- I have searched the internet for an answer -- but it seems there are a lot of people out there with similar issues.  Media player is nowhere to be found on these systems since it was taken out by the power shell script.  I've even tried a power shell script to reinstall -- to no avail.  Please help.

Why would you need an engineer to write a Powershell script when Windows 10 can be deployed without Windows Media Player?

I already looked at those solutions -- they don't address the problem we have.

I recommend you repair Windows completely before you should make a copy of your files.

I wonder if downloading the Media Pack for Windows N editions would work here. Worth a shot:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack

Make sure you get the download for the right version of Windows 10.

And in the future, don't let anyone remove system components from Windows! I hope that "engineer" is no longer with the company.
