Hi Rajvirdhan

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Option 1:

Press Windows key + X
Click Windows PowerShell (Admin).

At the command prompt, type the following, hit Enter the restart.
Type in at the prompt OR Copy and Paste these one at a time : (Hit enter after each)

Get-appxpackage -all *shellexperience* -packagetype bundle |% {add-appxpackage -register -disabledevelopmentmode ($_.installlocation + “\appxmetadata\appxbundlemanifest.xml”)}

Option 2:

Press Windows key + X
Click Task Manager
Select the Processes tab
Scroll down to Windows Explorer then select it
Click Restart

If that does not work:

Option 3:

uninstall your display driver:

Press Windows key + X
Click Device Manager
Expand Display adapters
Right click the current display adapter
Click Uninstall
Exit Device Manager
Restart

Option 4

1. Open Notepad.

2. Copy the following text into Notepad:

@echo off

taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

taskkill /f /im shellexperiencehost.exe

timeout /t 3 /NOBREAK > nul

del %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\TempState\* /q

timeout /t 2 /NOBREAK > nul

start explorer

@echo on

3. Click File and Save.

4. Choose a location to save the file. Enter a File name of ClearTileCache.bat and select Save as type of All files (*.*). Click Save.

5. Open File Explorer and navigate to the location that you chose to save the file to. Double-click ClearTileCache.bat to run the file.

If that does not work, I recommend you perform a repair upgrade:

Download the Media Creation Tool Now

Right click the MediaCreationTool.exe file then click Run as administrator.

Accept the End User License Agreement:

Select the option Upgrade this PC now if you want to upgrade right away,

Click Next

Accept the End User License Agreement.

How to prepare your computer before upgrading?

Although updating to Windows 10 version 1903 is a relatively simple process, similar to a repair upgrade; users should perform some basic pre-requisites before initiating the upgrade.

If you are finding it difficult to carry out some of the steps described below, please review detailed instructions how to perform them:

Well, because it works on another computer, doesn't mean is a reason to work properly. Sometimes functions can become broken.

If you don't want to do the repair upgrade, other things you can try include:

Unpair your Pen then pair it again.

Disable Fast Startup then restart.

Press Windows key + X
Click Power options
Click Additional power settings under Related settings
Click Choose what the power button does
Click Change settings that are currently unavailable
Uncheck 'Turn on fast startup (recommended)

Click Save changes.

Click Restart now and see if it works.

Hi Rajvirdhan,

The Screen Sketch was replace with Snip & Sketch in Windows 10 May 1903 Update. for more information please see Link :

https://mspoweruser.com/microsofts-snipping-tool-replacement-gets-new-name-capture-options/

I Have Not tried the New White Board.(A new Free MS App) You need to download it by clicking on the White Board that you see in your image. Also Please click on the (…) and then on " Learn More About Pen " this will open a Help page that I think you will find useful , it actually shows that what you see in Ink, is now the new Norm, that is (IMO). I believe this is only seen in the new version May 1903.

I Hope This Helps

hii, i tried repair upgrade, then it was fine... until windows updated itself again automatically then the problem arises again so that dosent fix it!

i tried your power settings procedure and that dosent fix it.

functions can become broken, i can understand if its a massive server and there are tonn's of things going on,,, but this is just basic OS!

works on one laptop but not on the surface from the same OS provider this is a Microsoft surface after all.

Mine is doing the same thing on my Surface Laptop 2 and my Surface Pro 3.  I haven't checked my wife's Surface Pro 4.  both my Laptop 2 and my Pro 3 are running 1903 Build 18362.356.  My work laptop which is running 1809 still has the original Ink Workspace.

Same problem on my Surface Pro 4 (Windows 1903)

Only the very small (2 buttons) windows ink workspace flyer appear, containing only Whiteboard and Fullscreen Snip, which is very frustrating. I can't find any way to launch OneNote now using only my pen!

Even having the possibility to add a third button would be enough for me...

this looks like the update that broke our Windows Ink Workspace:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/4505903/windows-10-update-kb4505903

"Updates the Windows Ink Workspace by simplifying the menu and adding direct integration with the Microsoft Whiteboard app for a richer collaboration experience."
