Windows hello removal from an account I no longer have access to.

I had windows hello set up on my business alias.  I no longer have access to that alias and wanted to set up Hello on my personal Hotmail.com account I'm using on my surface book now.  When I try to set it up I get an error message saying I already have Hello set up on another account and need to remove it from that account before can set it up on this one.

"Sorry, something went wrong.  It looks like you've already set up Windows Hello on another account.  Remove face recognition from your other account, and then try again."

How do I fix this?

Thanks

Brandon

Answer

Thank you for the information. Kindly try these following steps to reset Windows Hello biometrics and to set up Windows Hello on your current user account:

  1. On the search box, search and open Services.
  2. Right-click Windows Biometric Service and click Stop.
  3. Remove your Webcam. If you are using a laptop with built-in Webcam, follow these steps to disable it:
    • Open the Device Manager.
    • Right-click on the name of your device and select Disable.
    • Right-click on the name of your device again and click Uninstall.
  4. Go to C:\Windows\System32\WinBioDatabase\ and delete all entries.
  5. Restart your PC.
  6. Plug your camera back. If you are using a laptop with built-in Webcam, go back to the Device Manager and enable your device.
  7. Log in to your account and set up Windows Hello using a Pin.
  8. After setting up Windows Hello Pin, setup Face Recognition.

We'll be looking forward for your update.
