Windows Hello Facial Recognition not working

So i just bought a new HP Omen laptop and the only thing not working is the windows hello facial recognition, it seems to be an issue with windows 11 as the camera works fine, I talked to HP support and they informed me that it was not the device as its the same compatible device they use in all there laptops, so i was hoping someone here had any experience getting there windows hello working in windows 11. personally if I had the option not to use Win 11 I would, not a big fan of it.

Good day admoskowitz! I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to Windows Hello Facial Recognition. Kindly check and try the steps below and see how it goes.

- Access your Windows 11's Device Manager
- Click or double click the Biometric Devices
- Right click on the Windows Hello Face Software Device
- Click the Uninstall Device option and restart or reboot your laptop
- Check Windows Hello Facial Recognition if it will now work

You can also check out the link below for reference with regards to the other troubleshooting steps that you can try.

No HP Omen laptop comes with infrared camera --- so you don't have Windows Hello Face.

per HP that is not true its the supposed to be the same camera used in all of their high end laptops, where are you getting this info from? Because if its true it like to have a "conversation" with support about lying to me.

You asked a leading question why your laptop's Windows Hello Face doesn't work, and HP support will give you an incorrect answer. You didn't ask whether your OMEN 16-xxxyyy model comes with Windows Hello Face compatible infrared camera.

Go to HP's website:

https://www.omen.com/us/en/laptops.html

Look at all the laptops, they will all say:

In contrast, this is a HP laptop with (IR) infrared camera and thus can do Windows Hello Face.

What is the exact model of your HP Omen laptop? Can you instead check under Cameras if there is an IR camera available?

I have exactly the same situation on a new Dell Tower XPS8940, with an Adesso Camera which works.
One reply suggests

Click or double click the Biometric Devices in Device Manager

But there is no Biometric Devices showing as an option.

No Adesso webcam comes with infrared camera, therefore you don't have Windows Hello Face.

I may not have understood as it seems to me that a camera is a camera. I don't need an infra red camera to take a photo. You need not be so rude in replying. But maybe it's in your nautre, Please never reply to me again.
