Windows freezes after 24H2 update

Hello, since I installed the new 24H2 Windows update, the computer seems to crash.

It starts normally and once I connect and get to the desktop, after a few seconds I can no longer click on the icons, nothing works. By returning to a previous backup, it works normally.

Did someone know what problem it is ? And how can I fix that ?

Thanks

Hello ,

I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

Booting into Safe Mode allows Windows to load only the essential drivers and services, helping to diagnose if the issue is caused by a specific program or service that starts during a normal boot.

1: Press Shift and select Restart from the Start Menu or login screen.
2: Once the Advanced Startup Options appear, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings.
3: Click Restart and then press F4 to start in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, check if the freezing still occurs. If it doesn't, it could point to a third-party app or driver causing the issue.

Then it looks like the issue with third party software issues.

You can perform a clean boot using the steps below.

1: Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
2: Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, and click Disable all.
3: Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
4: Disable all startup items.
5: Restart your computer
