Windows Dell laptop hangs/freezes and makes a buzzing noise when i'm using it (Listening to audio / watching movies or playing games)

Hey,

I've been having some issues with my laptop the past couple days and i've not been able to find a solution for this issue on the internet.

While listening to music, playing games or watching movies sometimes my laptop randomly hangs/freezes and makes a buzzing sound (Also frame drops ), i noticed that this really only happens when i'm NOT charging the device (I haven't gotten any issues while charging so far)

I haven't been able to find a solution yet and you're welcome to leave a comment on how i can possible solve this problem because it has been really annoying while watching YouTube video's

*Edit Note*
I've also noticed that my mouse/cursor (Both touchpad and mouse *USB* ) have been lagging for no reason. When i move it around the screen it randomly stops or just jumps across the screen without me doing this. If you have a fix for this issue as well please let me know

Thank you for your time

Hello Paloma Bianchini,

Thank you for your time and fast response,

I am now going through the solutions given in your reply.

I also found someone with the same issue on answers.microsoft.com. I will link the thread below:

My laptop freezes up with continuing buzzing/stuttering noise - Microsoft Community, The second reply to this questions is basically the same issue i am having (Only he is using a different laptop/device)

I also experience that after 20 - 30 minutes the issue begins to go away and it will run properly, when it's not charging.

I was wondering how to use the exe file given in the reply as i don't understand it.

Again thank you for your time.

It was nothing, it's a pleasure to be able to try to help you.

I've been reading the thead you submitted, and the procedures are very similar.

The emphasis is on updating the drivers, as I also suggested, including the link to the manufacturer's driver verification tool for you to use.

Once you download and install it, you will be able to access it to check for available driver updates.

Another method is to access the manufacturer's website to download the drivers, just identify by your computer's model that is on the label pasted somewhere.

Hello,

I had a few questions for the installation of the drivers.

Because i'm not sure which drivers i should install and where i can install them, or if this depends on the model and o version of the device.

I have opened the exe file given before and it just said "Thank you for updating to the latest version of windows"

Is this supposed to happen?

I also found another thread that explains my issue even better

Micro-stuttering every few seconds in Windows 10. - Microsoft Community

I think this user has the exact same issue explaining why my mouse also hangs/lags
