Windows Copilot Bug, trying to search active Edge tab

Now Copilot frequently responses "Searching your active Microsoft Edge tab" even if the Microsoft Edge isn't running at all. After that it responses "Sorry, I can't access your webpage at the moment. Try again in sometime." and stucks.

My device specs: Windows 11 22631.2715, Surface Pro 9

The following two screenshots show an example. A very random article (which is from GitHub Blog) can cause this bug.

Thank you for your description and the screenshots provided, we can provide you with some methods you can refer to

1. In Bing's homepage, click on the burger icon, and in the drop-down box, make sure the "Country/Region" is USA.

2. Reset the network settings

It may be a network problem, not connected to the server, you can

(1)Reset the network

1. Search for CMD, open and find the Command Prompt (, run in administrator mode)

2. In the command box that pops up, enter the following commands in order (after each line has finished running, enter the next one)

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /registerdns

netsh int ip reset

netsh winsock reset

netsh winhttp reset proxy

3. Restart the computer to see if the problem can be solved.

(2)Reset network settings

Tap windows+R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Advanced, and check "Use SSL 3.0" and "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1", "Use TLS 1.2", reboot the computer after the application to see if the problem can be solved.

(3) Reset Proxy Server Settings

Click windows+R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Connections, click LAN Settings, check whether the Proxy Server column is checked, if so, uncheck it and click OK, restart your computer after applying it to see if the problem can be solved.

(4)Change DNS

1. Click windows+R and type ncpa.cpl. 2.

2. Click on the name of the network you are now connected to, open the Network Status window, click Properties, and then double-click Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the Network Properties window.

3. Manually set the DNS servers to "4.2.2.1" and "4.2.2.2" and restart your computer to see if the problem is solved.
