Windows Calendar notifications no longer work in Windows 10 and 11

The Windows calendar app has stopped sending notifications

I have the same issue on my 2 computers (Windows 10 desktop and Windows 11 laptop)

I verified the following

1) sync is enabled for all accounts

2) notifications are on in Windows setting (both globally and for the Calendar app)

3) time is set automatically (in Windows setting)

4) I repaired the app

5) I reset/re-installed the app

Please help

Hi,

Thanks for answering

I'll post the procedure again including how to install and activate "gpedit.msc" on Windows.

This procedure can be used in Windows 10 and 11 Home

1 - Install Gpedit

- Open NotePad and paste the script below:

@echo off
pushd "%~dp0"
dir /b C:\Windows\servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy-ClientExtensions-Package~3*.mum >List.txt
dir /b C:\Windows\servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy-ClientTools-Package~3*.mum >>List.txt

for /f %%i in ('findstr /i . List.txt 2^>nul') do dism /online /norestart /add-package:"C:\Windows\servicing\Packages\%%i"
pause

- Save the file to your Desktop with the name "gpedit.bat" (without quotes)

Right click on it and run as administrator

Wait for the process to finish and close the prompt window

2 - Press Win+R and type:

gpedit.msc

press enter

Navigate to the policy location below in the left pane of the Local Group Policy Editor

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar

In the right pane of Start Menu and Taskbar in the Local Group Policy Editor, double click/tap on the Remove Notifications and Action Center.

Select "Disabled" and click OK

I ended up re-installing the app and reconfiguring it on both computers a second time and the problem disappeared (?)

Thanks all for the responses
