Hi NIKDO1912,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community ,
I'll be glad to assist you today.
If resetting autoplay settings hasn’t resolved the issue, here are a few more steps you can try:
1. Check AutoPlay Service: Ensure the AutoPlay service is running. Open Services (search services.msc), find Shell Hardware Detection, and make sure it’s set to Automatic and is running.
2. Registry Check:
• Press Win + R, type regedit, and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
• Look for a value named NoDriveTypeAutoRun. If it exists, set its value to 91 (hexadecimal) or 145 (decimal).
3. Reset Default Apps: Go to Settings > Apps > Default apps, and reset all default apps to their original settings.
4. Check for Group Policy Changes:
• Open the Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).
• Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > AutoPlay Policies and ensure that Turn off AutoPlay is set to Not Configured.
5. Test with a New User Account: Sometimes, user-specific settings may cause issues. Create a new user account and test AutoPlay there.
