Windows activation

i recently purchased a new Intel NUC.  and am undertaking to transfer my old computer's window system to this unit

The old system was part of the optional upgrade scheme from MS and is labeled Windows 10 Enterprise.  I have the key.

i used the key to load windows on my NUC.  The product is labeled Windows Pro (not Enterprise).  I am not getting activation complaints.  The old key produces error 0x803FA067.  Each time time i try to talk to a person, i get dropped.

Any suggestions

Hi egroves

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Is your Windows 10 licence based on an upgrade from an OEM licence (came pre-installed on a PC) or Retail (purchased separately to a PC)

If it is a Retail licence, then it will have transfer rights to a new PC, if it is OEM it will not . ..

Is your Windows 10 licence based on a full Retail licence?

This operating system started out as an OEM system but was upgraded once or twice with purchases of upgrades.  Do those purchases qualify my key as non-OEM.

is there a way to tell from my key, how it is classified?

also, i have a Windows 7 key which i purchased for another computer, that has since been junked.  Does this have any potential for my Windows 10 pro installation

thank you

Hi egroves#

Do you still have access to the old PC, if so, click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please post a screenshot of the resulting dialog . . .

Hi egroves#

That's great, however, since that is not activating automatically, the only option is to phone Microsoft Support in your local area, they are the only ones who can see into your Microsoft account and assist you to activate that licence . .
