Thanks for the help, but it still does not give me an option to select the pro version when I go to install the program. I'm getting the same selections during the installation wizard.

What am I doing wrong?

I hope you have a product key for Pro; as it doesn't come for free.

If you do, download the Pro ISO > make the disk or Bootable USB > boot form it and clean install Pro.

That's what I'm trying to do. Where do I get the Pro version from Microsoft?

Geesh... should have never fell for their offer to upgrade from Win 7 Pro. Big mistake.

Microsoft has ended sales for 8/8.1.

Previously purchased feature pack licenses will still work, and valid feature packs may still be available for purchase from third-party retailers. Support for these products is still available.

Where can I download Windows 8.1 Professional so that I can upgrade from Windows 8.1 Core?

Downloaded the iso file and went through the steps to install. Even though the page says you can install the Pro version, no where on the page is there a selection for Pro. And there was no option during the install to select Pro either.  Regardless, I went ahead and went through wwith the install and... after wasting all that time, I still only have Windows 8.1 Core.
