Windows 8 removed all my programs!

Just installed windows media centre on Windows 8 and guess what...Windows 8 has removed all my programs without any warning...THANKS MICROSOFT am not impressed!!!!!!

Now I have to spend hours re-installing all my programs, this just sucks Microsoft does not have the right to remove installed programs on my system when I upgrade my OS....SORT IT OUT!!

The Same thing happened on my computer. So far upgrading to Windows 8 was much more trouble then it's worth. Microsoft needs to get their act together!

Was this an upgrade, or did you do a clean install? At most, the files and settings may be in Windows.old directory. When upgraded, my PC retained all my files and settings, although I did do a good back up before upgrading just in case (a good practice).
