Windows 8 Mail App will not sync my hotmail account?
Brand New Toshiba Laptop, and I am trying to use the mail, people calendar and messaging app and nothing will sync with my account. In mail it says (my email address) is not available, and that it couldn't sync messages.. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling,
restarting my computer, checked for updates in the store, turned all my antivirus and firewall settings off, removed my account from the app and readded, created an alias account on my hotmail to an outlook account and changed User account settings as well..

Step 2: In many cases, the Windows Store will automatically notify you if there’s a problem with an app and try to fix the problem. If the Store doesn’t notify you of the problem or you continue experiencing problems with an app.
Method 2: Follow these steps and check if it helps:
1. Go to Mail app. Use Windows key + C to open Charms.
2. Click on Live Account. Under Content to Sync.
3. Uncheck Email.
4. Close out Mail. Wait five minutes.
5. Go back to Mail settings for Live.
6. Under Content to Sync. Put a Check in Email.
7. Wait a few minutes to see if Live will sync. Or can test sending to Live from Web site.
Method 3: Remove and readd the account and check:
a. Open mail app.
b. Press "Win + c" to open charms bar.
c. Click settings, Click on the Live or the account which is configured.
d. Click Remove accounts which is at the bottom of the window.
e. Try to add the accounts again and check.
