Windows 7 update error 641 and 80070641

I am attempting for the past few days to update Laptop. Windows 7 64 bit. This is a new problem. Other updates have installed. There seems to be no update for the Windows 7 installer. I am very frustrated with the absolute lack of an official answer to these problems.
I hate windows 7 and will resist changing my PC to it until I am forced to do otherwise. It is a horrible system..

However the Laptop must be dealt with. Whether or not I like the OS.

 I am getting error code 641 for update kb2495644,

and error code 80070641 for the following kb2467175 , kb2520039 , kb2464635 , kb2509488 , kb2464583 , kb2464594 , kb2464623 , kb2466156 , kb2508958 , kb2467174. Please advise.

I have attempted the following with no success:

========================

Stop the Windows Installer service and then use Windows Update…

1.     Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator.

2.     At the Command Prompt window type the following, and press Enter:

3.     net stop msiserver

Note: This will effectively stop the Windows Installer service. This service will load-on-demand so manually stopping it does not adversely affect the computer.

4.     Launch Windows Update, and then attempt to install the previously failed updates.

===================================

at the command prompt typed > MSIEXEC /Unregister (ENTER)
                                                                                                   >MSIEXEC /Regserver (ENTER)

=====================================

To fix this click Start>Control
Panel>System and Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Services>Give User Account
Control password or confirmation>Make sure the service called "Remote
Procedure Call (RPC) is on.

If it's not, follow the same steps below that it
says for windows installer. >Scroll Down until you see "Windows
Installer">Right click>Properties>Under the General tab, make sure the
startup type is "Automatic".

This will start the service when windows starts
(you want this if you are going to try to install anything)>Click OK>In the
left-hand pane of the Services window, where it describes the service, click
start. You should now be good to go.

Try to install the updates again and if
it doesn't work, you didn't get error code 80070641 or there's something else
wrong.

=======================================

Thank you for your time.

I gave up and pressed f11 and restored the system to OOBE .... Thanks to ShyamWarren for at least helping me narrow it down.

Shame on you Microsoft for including a version of the windows installer that is not even available to the public..

Shame on you for not even peeking your heads in here..
Just one more reason for me to HATE Windows 7.

Upon downloading more than 90 needed updates and installing them I now get the 643 error for the .net updates.. I will follow ShyamWarren 's advise on those particular updates.

Sloppy Microsoft.. Very very sloppy.. Word of mouth is your biggest ally or foe..
And I for one will tell everyone about the lack of support and a real answer to the problems I was having..

This must come under the "too hard" catagory.

I have never in my life been so disappointed in a company as I am with you..

Take care ..
