windows 7 startup sound

When I turn on the PC or Restart the Windows Startup sound does not play.  This has nothing to do with logon or logoff sounds.  We are talking about Startup sound only here.  All other system sounds work fine.

Any ideas on what has changed here to bring this on?

go check this link:

C:\Windows\Media

and search for:

Windows Startup.wav

Windows Shutdown.wav

are there.

or,

go to Desktop, then Proprities "personalization"

in the lower bar, select Sons, and then Adjust it as you want
