Purchased new with the computer 1/29/10.  Got hit with something on Sept 17 when I did a series of updates.

Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB976422)

nVidia - Display - NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT

Mircrosoft.NET Framework 4 Client Profile for Windows 7 x64-based Systems (KB982670)

Windows Malicious Softwar Removal Tool x64 - September 2010 (KB890830)

Those were successful and the following failed:

Logitech - Communications Device, Streaming Media and Broadcast - Logitech QuickCam S5500

That is when the problems started.  Some friends have tried various things to try to fix this but to no avail.

Those 2 files are missing/corrupt.

Run sfc /scannow and if this doesn't fix the files, replace the files with the files from your DVD:

sfc /scannow did not do anything that I could perceive.

I ran 7-Zip utility.  It said it could not extract those two file

I ran it command line and it asked me if I wanted to overwrite the existing file and I entered y.  I could not read what it said after that as it went too fast.

Bottom line is that I still cannot activate my Windows 7.

I have provided a new Diagnostic report.

I will only be on line for another hour and then I will be off line for about 36 hours.

Thank you
