Windows 11 widgets stuck on sign in loop

I seem to have a problem with the new "widgets" feature in Windows 11. Mine are stuck on a sign in loop. I sign in, it goes back to the sign in screen. Sometimes the widgets will flash on the screen for a few seconds, but they're always blank. I've watched all the videos I could find on the topic and nothing that's been suggested has worked. I've turned the widget function on task bar page on and off again, I've turned the drivers to my graphics card off and nothing. Edge IS my default browser - I've tried signing out of edge and restarting my PC then signing back in... NOTHING works.

Can someone PLEASE help me!!

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In this scenario, we would suggest you to upgrade the PC to Windows 11 22000.132 build version also toggle the switch to Off and On in Taskbar Settings beside Widgets.

Also, perform these steps and check

Step 1: Run the SFC.

  1. Click on the Start button, Type CMD.

  2. Right click on CMD and select Run as Administrator.

  3. Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit Enter.

  4. After the scan, restart the computer.

  5. Now check for the issue.

Step 2: Run the DISM Tool.

  1. Click on the Start button, Type CMD.

  2. Right click on CMD and select Run as Administrator.

  3. In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press the Enter key after each command:

    • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

  4. To close the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type Exit, and then press Enter.

Note: The tool might take some time to finish, so please do not cancel it.

If the issue persists, we recommend you to provide your valuable feedback in Feedback Hub. This is one way where our design team will be able to receive feedback, suggestions, and ideas from our customers.
