Windows 11 upgrade fails on Huawe Matebook 1

Trying to upgrade a 5 yr old Huawei MateBook D 15 to Windows 11. I get the message the install has failed as the PC isn't yet supported on this version of Windows. The Huawei website says it is and refer me back to Microsoft. Also I get error code 0xc1900209. Any ideas please?

Hi Peter,

The OS partition is low on disk space. Please ensure that the C drive has at least 20 GB (I'd recommend 25 GB, though) of free space.

1) Turn off hibernation by running "powercfg /hibernate off" if you don't use the feature.

2) Run Disk Cleanup as administrator. Enable all checkboxes and click OK to do an overall cleanup.

3) Turn off System Restore or reduce the space allocated for it. You can do so by running "systempropertiesprotection.exe". Select the OS partition and click "Configure".

4) Move your user folders, such as Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Music, and Videos, to another partition or drive. To move a shell folder, for example, Documents, right-click the Documents folder and select Properties. On the Location tab, click the Move button.

5) Do a component store cleanup by running "dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup".
