Windows 11 - Taskbar Freezes & Shortcut Cannot Be Used

Can you tell when did this started to happen? Any changes that might caused this? This is commonly caused by system file corruptions, unresponsive service, profile corruption, or missing updates. I can suggest to try and run a generic command to try and resolve system file corruption.

You can repair any corrupted system files by following the steps below.

1. Open Start, type: CMD
2. Right click CMD
3. Click Run as administrator
4. Type in at the prompt OR Copy and Paste these one at a time : (Hit enter after each)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Run the System File Checker utility:
1. Open Start, type: CMD
2. Right click CMD
3. Click Run as administrator
4. Type in: sfc /SCANNOW
5. Hit enter

This will check for any integrity violations

Restart your system once all commands are done.

I have tried them all and it is the same nothing changed.

You did good, can you tell me when did this started to happen and if there are any changes that might have caused this?

Since I started using the OneDrive and it only does this when putting a file in the desktop.
