Windows 11 Media Creation issue

Good afternoon. I am having an issue using the media creation tool for Windows 11.

The tool stalls 71 percent progress.

I have tried 3 different computers, 2 USB drives and no luck.

I have tried running the tool as an admin with the same result.

Also, I have formatted the USB's in exfat, exfat32 and NTFS with no luck.

Any ideas?

Hi, Pete,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

You can use the Media Creation Tool to download the Windows ISO then use a third-party tool to create the bootable flash drive.

Step 1: Download the Windows ISO
1-Download and execute the Media Creation tool.
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295
2-On the "What do you want to do?" page, select "Create installation media for another PC", and then select Next.
3-Select ISO file. Save an ISO file to your PC

Step 2: Create the bootable USB
1-Download and execute the Rufus app

Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

2-In the Device, select the flash drive that you want to use
3-Then click on the Select button and select the Windows ISO download in the previous step
4-Then make sure that all other options are like in the image below and click on the Start button
5-Wait until finished

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions or the problem persists, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
